We look forward to seeing you soon at Vanilla!

What should I wear to the spa?
Please feel free to wear whatever is comfortable to you. This is your day! Generally, our guests dress in casual attire. If you will be receiving a pedicure, we suggest you bring or wear open-toed shoes such as flip-flops. We are happy to provide complimentary disposable shoes for your convenience.

Am I expected to completely undress for my service?
Your massage therapist or skin care specialist will introduce themselves to you, and then leave you in privacy for a few moments so that you may remove your clothing, lie down on the massage table, and cover yourself with a sheet. The sheet will discreetly cover you during your spa service. If you feel uncomfortable completely disrobing, you may feel free to keep undergarments on. For your convenience, we offer the use of our luxurious spa robes while transitioning from one service to another.

I'd like several of my friends and I to have manicures/pedicures done at the same time so that we can enjoy the experience together…is this possible?
It is best to let the spa receptionist know this when you call/email to make your appointment. We will do all we can to honor your request, but please understand that due to scheduling and space limitations, this is not always possible. Again, making your request in advance will help us accommodate you the best we can.

Does the spa offer artificial nails?
No. However, our nail technicians can still give you a fantastic manicure!

I'd like to have waxing done. How long should my hair be?
It is best that the hair be 1/8 to ¼ inches long for optimum results.

If I'd like to leave a gratuity for the staff member that served me, how should I do this, and what is an acceptable amount?
Leaving a gratuity is not required. However, doing so lets your staff member know that you truly enjoyed your service, and appreciated their exceptional personal attention. It is acceptable to give the gratuity directly to your staff member, add it to your bill when you check out, or leave it with the |receptionist to put in the staff member’s gratuity envelope. Generally, guests will leave 15-20% of their service cost as gratuity.

Are group rates available?
Yes. We often provide special discounts to groups. Please contact the Spa Director for a quote for your event. Where can I safely keep my valuables? It is best to leave your most precious valuables at home. A locker is provided in the spa for safekeeping of your items. It is necessary to remove earrings and necklaces before your facial, body treatment or massage. Please lock these articles in your locker, so that they will not be forgotten. The spa is not responsible for missing items.

How much notice do you require if I need to reschedule or cancel my appointment?
Cancellations must be received at least 4 hours prior to appointment time or the full service fee will be charged. Cancellations must be called in during business hours. Full day packages require a 24 hour cancellation notice. Groups of 3 or more require a 48 hour notice.

What happens if I am late for my appointment?
While we recognize that emergencies occur, please understand that late arrivals may require your service to be shortened.

How far in advance should I book my appointment?
It’s always best to contact us as far in advance as possible. If you would like to schedule a service during Wednesday-Sunday, we suggest you call-in/email your appointment at least 2 weeks in advance. To schedule a service on a Monday or Tuesday, a few days notice will likely be sufficient. Of course, don’t hesitate to try us last minute, we will do all we can to accommodate you.

Do I need to arrive early for my appointment?
Yes, it is helpful to arrive about 15 minutes prior to your appointment.
